Our allies had awsome defensive capabilities that cinched the championship for us. Here are some of the design details of our machine pictured below.
This is our 2nd year of competition. We learned a lot from our rookie year. We learned simplicity and durability may often be better than complexity that is vulnerable to failure. Our robot has four motors. During our design we considered picking balls up from the ground, a goal blocker, etc., but our primary design elements put us at 129 lbs. do we didn't add too much. We will be modifying this site soon with more pictures from the competition.
We were hoping to get into the finals this year - we really didn't expect to winin our second year. But now the bar is even higher - no team has ever repeated as national champion.
