The LMR Simulator is a joint accurate physical simulator and computer game. It can be used both by the LMR development team for mission simulation and rover testing, as well as by students to see what driving a rover on the moon is actually like. The final product will be used to select the best student driver, who will be allowed to drive the real rover when it is on the moon.

The simulator tracks rover dynamics, temperatures, communication delays and errors, and radiation events. It is currently in development, using CMLabs Vortex for physics simulation and OpenSceneGraph for graphics.
