Robotics and Engineering

To participate in the Web Course on Robotics with the XBC, you need a demonstration Robot for experiments.

The following link provides robot assembly instructions of three variations on a demo robot.

Here are additional hints at getting started:
1. Get out your XBC and charge it overnight if you haven't used it in a while.
2. Find the serial interface to your desktop or laptop computer.
3. Check that you have IC 6.14 coding environment loaded on the computer.
4. Try communicating with the XBC, using a test program on IC. (we will go over loading instructions and getting started, if you have trouble. You have 'getting started' instructions on your CD.)
5. Review your kit and check against the parts list that all the parts are there as a way to become familiar with the LEGO and electronics.

Also to avoid technical difficulties you should read the broadcast page before entering the webcast.

Before entering the webcast you must select your preferences below.
